Emily Sidwell joined Stephen Jones Law in September, 2018. She has considerable experience in federal practice and now focuses on criminal law as well as civil litigation.
Emily was raised on a farm outside of Fairmont, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma State University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2011 with a degree in political science. She went on to attend Tulane University School of Law, where she served as a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and graduated summa cum laude and Order of the Coif in 2014.
Following her legal education, Emily served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael T. Parker, United States Magistrate Judge of the United States Court for the Southern District of Mississippi from 2014 to 2016. She also served as the law clerk to the Honorable Harry S. Mattice, Jr., United States District Judge of the United States Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee from 2016 to 2018.
Emily returned to her home community in August 2018. She lives on a farm in Goltry with her husband Brady and their dog, Daisy. She attends St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Goltry.
